Although I love working remotely, nothing beats interacting with clients in-person.
Social media networking is big business these days, but for small businesses like mine, more traditional ‘offline’ networking is still super important – it helps build long-term, meaningful relationships and connections. I want my clients to feel like they know, like and trust me.
How often have you met someone and immediately resonated with them? Don’t get me wrong – virtual meetings are fabulous, but you only get a true sense of chemistry when you engage in a face-to-face environment. That’s why whenever I get the opportunity to head into the big smoke for meetings, I jump at the chance!
On a personal note, networking in a more traditional way makes me feel more supported and less alone too. I don’t mind admitting that it can sometimes be a little isolating working remotely, so meeting with clients in-person can be a real confidence boost.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learnt in the past 6 months or so, is how important it is to balance my online world with my offline world. Social media networking is essential to running any business, but you should never underestimate the power of a coffee and a face-to-face chat.
If you’d like to arrange a face-to-face meeting with me to discuss how I might be able to assist, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
