For many of us, Christmas is a joyous time. Lots of delicious food and drink, surrounded by our nearest and dearest. It’s very easy to get caught up in all the excitement and to forget about those who are less fortunate.
Homelessness is particularly tough this time of year, especially with the shorter days and the colder weather. And it’s very easy to think that it could never happen to you, but the sad truth is that it could happen to anyone.
For the past few years, I always make sure I put aside some of my Christmas budget to support Crisis at Christmas. I will be doing the same again this year, and I hope that you will join me too!
With the help of generous supporters and volunteers,
Crisis open hotels and hub services throughout December. These hubs offer hot
meals, clothing, wellbeing packs, and access to advice and support. It’s a
safe, warm and friendly place for people experiencing homelessness.
