It’s a brand-new year… an opportunity for a fresh start and a chance for us to think about the exciting opportunities that lie ahead of us in 2023.
I love this time of year – it’s a good time to reflect and to think about how to make the year ahead an even better one. Although I don’t believe in resolutions, I DO believe in making improvements and the New Year always seems to be the perfect time to do this.
As business owners, we are always looking for ways to improve and leverage our business. It’s always a good idea to celebrate the successes of the previous year, but it’s equally (if not more) important to ask yourself what you can improve on and what the first steps are to achieving this.
Maybe you felt like you were stretching yourself too thin in 2022? Spinning too many plates? And desperately in need of more time with your family and loved ones (without the constant email interruptions!).A VA might just be the secret
weapon you need to bring a little calm to your chaotic workload. By unlocking
time for you to spend on more productive tasks, having a VA as part of your
team can significantly relieve stress and worry as well as transform your
work-life balance.
There is a misconception that hiring a VA will be a headache to manage, but the
truth is, a VA is just like having another member of the team… but without all
the expensive overheads!
And don’t be fooled into thinking that all Virtual Assistants come from an
executive assistant or personal assistant background - VAs can bring a whole
range of backgrounds and skills to the table. My background, for example, is in
the advertising industry – as a Creative Services Manager and an Audio Producer.
Having been in the industry for 13 years before becoming a Virtual Assistant in
2021, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in that sector.
As well as offering more traditional administrative services, over the course
of the past year I have helped clients with all sorts of tasks, including:
· Social media content
· Blog writing
· Course creation
· Website maintenance
· CRM management
· Lead generation
Before you dismiss the idea of adding a Virtual Assistant to
your growing team, it’s worth remembering that specialised VAs like myself can
offer many services as well as administrative support!
And if you worry that onboarding is going to be a pain, fear not – a VA is very
task driven. Working independently, they don’t need to know ins-and-outs of the
rest of the business to do their job exceptionally well.
So, as you take a moment consider the growth of your business and the expansion of your team in 2023, it’s worth throwing the idea of hiring a Virtual Assistant into the mix. Of course, I would say that… but, with a variety of skills and experience, a Virtual Assistant might just be the addition you’re looking for to help you achieve your goals this year.
