“New Year, New You” – it’s a tired phrase that has become laughable in recent years.
Yet, as corny as it sounds, I do always find this time of year a good time to reflect and to think about how I can make the year ahead a good one.
There are always things we can improve about ourselves – whether that be trying to take better care of our health and well-being or trying to learn something new.
I don’t believe in resolutions, but I do believe in thinking about what I could do better, and the New Year always seems to be the perfect time to do this.
What did I do well last year, and how can I maintain that momentum?
What could I improve on, and what are the first steps to achieving this?
In 2021, I took a giant leap of faith in setting up my own VA business. For those who know me well, I’m very risk averse so this was very out of character for me. However, I don’t regret it at all, and it has taught me that it’s good to take calculated risks sometimes. Although I won’t be doing anything quite as drastic again this year, I will certainly approach decision making differently in 2022.
So I implore you to take some time out this week to have a think about the past year, and how you have the power to make 2022 an even better year! I promise you it will enrich both your personal and professional life.
